Inductive sensors

Inductive proximity sensors are designed for wear-free and non-contact detection of metal objects. For this purpose they use a high-frequency electromagnetic AC field that interacts with the target. Moreover uprox®+ sensors offer highest switching distance with their unique coil concept, factor 1 and highest operational safety from the start by simple and safe mounting .


Capacitive sensors.


Capacitive proximity switches are designed for non-contact and wear-free detection of metal (electrically conductive) and non-metal (electrically non-conductive) objects.

Magnetic field sensors

Magnetic field sensors are activated by magnetic fields and are especially suited for piston position monitoring in pneumatic cylinders. Based on the fact that magnetic fields can permeate non-magnetizable metals, it is possible to detect a permanent magnet attached to the piston through the aluminium wall of the cylinder. Magnetic-inductive permaprox sensors made by TURCK operate on a patented function principle. Thus they are capable of reliably detecting permanent magnets of various field strengths on all common cylinder types. They operate completely wear-free and are short-circuit protected; a weld-field immune version for welding applications is also available.

Ultrasonic sensors

Ultrasonic sensors use ultrasonic waves for non-contact and wear-free detection of a large variety of objects. It does not matter whether the object is transparent or opaque, metallic or non-metallic, or of liquid, solid or powdery consistence. Environmental conditions such as spray, dust or rain hardly affect their function.

Flow sensors

TURCK's flow sensors monitor reliably and wear-free the flow of gaseous and liquid media. The calorimetric operation of the sensors is based on the heat transport/heat loss principle, i.e., when fluid moves over the heated sensing probe, heat is conducted away from the sensor. The heat loss is thus a measure of the flow speed. There are immersion and inline sensors available which can also be used in explosion hazardous areas according to ATEX 100a. Customer-specific versions with special housing designs, materials and connections are available on request.

Pressure sensors

The entire range of pressure sensors works with a piezo-resistive ceramic measuring cell and is divided into four families based on the different housing styles. The PS series (accuracy rating 0.5% of full scale) comes in a robust stainless steel housing with a 4-digit 7-segment display. Different versions are available with switching and analog output. IO-Link compatibleThe PC-M series (accuracy rating 2 % of full scale) comes in a die-cast housing with a 4-digit 7-segment display and a stainless steel pressure connection.The PT series (accuracy rating 0.3 % of full scale) comes in a stainless steel housing with 2-wire technology and analog output. Die PC series (accuracy rating of 0.3 % of full scale) features a customer-specific switching output. The PK series (accuracy rating 1.0% of full scale) comes in a very light housing and is only suited for pneumatic and vacuum applications.

Temperature sensors

The products are used everywhere where temperatures for control and optimization of processes must be detected and monitored. They combine high accuracy and excellent performance with simple and safe mounting and operation. They are flexible to use and easy to program. Typical applications are process-related installations, manufacturing facilities and units, as well as air-conditioning systems. With respect to temperature sensors, various lengths and diameters are available. The temperature sensor can be easily adapted even to critical applications using diverse protective tubing or compression ferrule fittings. This provides maximum flexibility in use.

Inclination sensors

By inclination is meant the relative angular tilt to the horizon or perpendicular. Any deviation from this home position (perpendicular) can be detected quickly and precisely with inclinometers made by the sensor specialist TURCK. Inclinometers make use of the local gravity for the measurement of angular tilt. The MEMS technology (Mikro-Elektro-Mechanic-Systems) on which the inclinometer is based, enables multiple application solutions for machines, roboters, vehicles and airplanes, agricultural and construction machinery, solar plants, transport devices or automatically adjustable furniture.The TURCK product portfolio currently comprises inclinometers in rectangular housing Q20L60 and with the following angular ranges: ±10°, ±45° und ±60°. All versions feature analog voltage or current outputs. Zero calibration +/-5° via pin 5 (e.g. with the teach adapter VB2-SP3).

Magnetic inductive position sensors

Magnetic-inductive linear position sensors with analog output provide a signal that is proportional to the position of the positioning magnet and cover measuring ranges of up to 200 mm. They feature excellent reproducibility, resolution and linearity. Due to their extremely robust design, they are especially suited for industrial applications. They also excel in their high electromagnetic compatibility and stability over a wide temperature range.

Rotary position sensors

Rotary position sensors convert mechanical motion into electrical signals and are suited for all those applications where lengths, positions, rotations and angular positions have to be detected.

Inductive linear displacement sensor

The new inductive linear position sensor operates on the basis of a completely new, revolutionary measuring principle. The positive features of standard measuring sytems are combined and systematically developed further. The position is not detected via a positioning magnet but via an inductive oscillating circuit. The sensor is thus completely immune to magnetic fields which are generated by large motors for example. Devices with measuring ranges from 100mm to 1000mm are available, whereby the measuring range is individually adjustable at the push of a button.

Inductive angle sensors

The measuring principle of rotary position sensors is based on oscillation circuit coupling between the transducer and the sensor, whereby an output signal is provided proportional to the angle of the positioning element. Owing to the non-contact principle, the robust sensors are maintenance and wear-free and they excel in terms of optimum repeatability, resolution and linearity within a broad temperature range. Thanks to the innovative technology, electromagnetic interferences have no influence on the measured signal.

Magnetic field sensors for weld nuts

In the automotive industry spacer sleeves and weld nuts are used to assemble elements of the carbody. In order to guarantee a smooth and reject-free production process, continuous control of these supply parts is necessary. The new magnetic-inductive sensors for detection of weld nuts made by TURCK are an economic and process safe solution. Spacer sleeves and weld nuts are used to assemble elements of the carbody shell like frames, U-shaped carriers and also seats or fuel tanks. If some nuts or sleeves are missing or may not have the required material quality, the automatic assembly process stops and the workpiece will be rejected. If these errors are not detected and rejects are produced, costs will increase considerably. Even complete carbody shells may not be further assembled if the stabilizing elements are not welded. In order to prevent the increase of production costs, it is necessary to control the supply of parts like weld nuts or spacer sleeves during the assembly process. The magnetic field sensor for weld nuts detects not only metal but it also replaces the location bolt. The sensor works on the basis of attenuation and thus detects ferromagnetic parts like sleeves, nuts and slices etc. It is mounted in a chrome-plated brass housing and features degree of protection IP67. LEDs reliably indicate the current switching state (presence/absence of target objects and errors).
